Founded in 2008, HWB® HIDDEN WALL BED® began as a dedicated R&D initiative in Singapore. Driven by a team of like-minded space saving innovators, passionately aspired to solve urban living challenges through space-efficient furniture.

This vision became a reality in 2009 with the launch of our first operational arm, HWB CONCEPT MARKETING, officially incorporating as HWB CONCEPT PTE LTD in 2010. Our mission remains: to address land constraints and overcrowding by transforming how Singaporeans utilize their space.

HIDDEN WALL BED® strives to retain the contemporary edge and functional utility of its products even in the competitive Singaporean market. Elsewhere, hidden wall beds are recognized as Hidden Bed, Murphy’s Bed, Hide Away Bed in the US and Wall Bed, Fold up beds in the UK. However, HIDDEN WALL BED® has adopted, adapted and localized the concept of space-saving hidden wall beds from all over the globe to meet the needs of our local population in Singapore.

A Legacy That Shaped The Market

How Hidden Wall Bed® Became an Iconic Name in Space-Saving Design

From a simple online search to a registered trademark, discover how HWB® pioneered and defined a term that’s now widely used across the industry.

HWB® founders initially did a Google and Yahoo search in 2008 and could not find anything related to HIDDEN WALL BED®. However, there were results for Hidden Beds, Murphy Beds and Hide Away Beds. Furthermore, they were manufactured in Western countries. These manufacturers often coined the beds as Wall Beds, Space Saving Beds, Fold Up Beds & so on. Companies in the United States were calling the concept of hideaway beds Hidden Bed, and the companies in Europe were calling it Wall Bed. After a lengthy discussion about this concept, the HWB® founders combined both and proudly created HIDDEN WALL BED®, which is HWB® for short. Both HWB® and HIDDEN WALL BED® have registered Trademark brands until this day.

In 2009, the founders of HIDDEN WALL BED® submitted a trademark request for the name of HIDDEN WALL BED®. Subsequently, in 2013, HIDDEN WALL BED® was officially granted the Trademark Certificate of HIDDEN WALL BED®. This was granted as HIDDEN WALL BED® had a solid track record of being in the hidden bed industry for 3 years. Fast forward till today, the term “Hidden Wall Bed” is often used by many businesses in the hidden bed industry. We are flattered that many businesses or competitors in the same industry has decided to adopt HIDDEN WALL BED® in their marketing collateral.

We started off with R&D work in 2008 and pinpointed key issues and possible solutions for a more space-efficient Singapore. These findings spearheaded our first batch of space-saving hidden wall beds which made its way to the retail market in second half of 2009.

Since then, we continue to improve and innovate the quality and safety of our products in the hope of attaining a more space-efficient Singapore using space saving technologies. I bought my Murphy bed 2 years back from HWB. It's a small shop in Beauty World. Not the fancy furniture shops you see all over Singapore. You might be tempted to walk away, since it's a bit hard to find and dingy. Promise you, you wont be disappointed with the outcome. Ronnie knows his job inside out and is extremely committed.

The quality, workmanship, details and communication are on point and better than most of the contractors or high end furniture shops. No fuss. Gets the job done. The workers and Ron just get at the work and get it done, no fuss, no complaints an unbelievable job. We have comfortably been using the beds for the last 2years now with no complaints. We had called them over to fix an issue we had noticed with the headboard. Ron as usual was on point on his communication and showed up on time and fixed it within an hour.

First impressions are not that great. It's a small shop in Beauty World. The shop isn't a fancy showroom and it doesn't have all the bells and whistles that come in other furniture stores (like Spaceman). Rony has quite a personality and may come on a bit strong as well.

But don't let first impressions scare you away. The quality, workmanship, details and communication are on point. Rony probably has hundreds of clients, but remembers every detail about every clients' request and ensures things are done in a timely and professional manner. He communicates really well and helps find solutions for you.

On delivery date, his staff was punctual and even helped patch up some mistakes done by our interior designer's contractors. Please note that assembly can take up to 4 hours - so be prepared.

The quality and workmanship is unmatched for the price point. It's much better than some of the other wall bed stores in Singapore which charge you an arm and a leg just because they're European.

I strongly recommend getting your hidden wall bed from Rony. He's fantastic and all the staff that work with him are great too!

After reading good reviews from others. I went down personally with my family to check it out. Is really true. Is very safe for elderly & which my 6years old boy try it. It's true that can hold any position when your hands are not holding the bed & we can lift up the bed with one finger. Another good point I like is the airing positions to prevent sweat smell. Compare others wall bed I try it last week it's cannot hold & no airing positions.

I appreciate HWB hidden wall bed for a good after-support sale service. As part of their routine service support, they called me to ask if the bed is in good working condition and meeting my needs. FYI - I bought HWB bed 2 years ago and is still functioning very well !

The bed is for my daughter and she is very happy with the HWB bed. In fact, she had introduced it to a few of her classmates and I understand her classmates also bought from HWB and are happy with the products.

With the recent completion of new MRT line, HWB hidden wall bed showroom at Beauty World Plaza(just outside beauty world MRT station) is now so easily accessible. You can go and check it up for yourself on this product for its good functions and I must stress its safety feature that even a small kid can lift and close the bed when he gets up. It has airing points to air the bed to prevent any odour after a good night sleep. I understand most wall bed do not have any airing point feature.
